UPCOMING EVENTS

February 11th & 12th -

Basset Hound Club of Southern California is holding Field Trials.  For more information, check out the Club's website.  Rescue hounds are welcome to compete but need to be AKC registered.  It is a fairly simple process, go to the AKC website to find out how.  It is a great event to do with your hound.  You get exercise and your hound gets to exercise his/her nose.  What could be more fun?  Hope to see you there.

GEBR is again planning on taking part in the Kingsburg Swedish festivale.  It is usually the third Saturday in May.  We will post the exact date when we know exactly which day.

We are looking forward to seeing all our friends, human and hound alike, and to making new friends.

We always have a great time.  Please mark your calendars for this fun event.

  Maggie
Maggie is a 2 1/2 year old basset hound.  She is spayed and up to date on her shots.  Maggie has been moved from home to home quite a bit in her young life and as such she is a bit timid when meeting new people and dogs.  We would not recommend Maggie for a home with very young children.  Maggie prefers women over men and her personality is best described as moody and pouty.  She will test the boundarys and rules.  Maggie will need a stable routine and home life.&nb...read more about Maggie
  Dusty
Dusty is a great guy.  He would love to have a home of his own with lots of property to patrol.  He is a great watch dog and has a distinctive bark.  Dusty is currently working on learning how to walk on a leash.  He loves people and other dogs.  He is a bit cautious when he first meets people but he warms up quickly.  He likes to ride in the car and he loves the dog parks.  Dusty is a mixed breed.  As near as we can tell he has some Basset Hound, Queensla...read more about Dusty
  Trish
Trish is a very sweet girl who wants to be by your side.  She is a good watch dog.  She loves to go for walks, rides in the car and dog parks.  Basically she is happy to do any activity that involves her people.  She does not like men.  we feel she will come around but is going to need paitence and loving care.   She will chase and bark at cats.  Trish is ready to find her forever family to share her life with.
  Louie
Louie Lou came from the Kern County Animal Control Shelter.  He was severely emacaited.  He was placed on a healthy diet and nursed back to health.  The pictures of Louie are the ones we took upon intake.  Louie is a great boy and gets along well with other dogs.  He will chase and bark at cats.  He likes to go for walks, rides and play at the dog park.  Louis has recently been neutered and is ready to go to his forever home.  Louie needs a forever family ...read more about Louie
  Toby
Toby came from Kern County Animal Control.  He is a very sweet hound and will be ready for his forever home after he is neutered.  He has not hadd the best of diets and as a result, his teeth are not in the best of shape.  He is now on quality food and is getting in shape to undergo his neutering.  Toby likes to take walks, loves all people and loves to play with other dogs.  He has not been tested with cats as of yet.  He is learning about house training.  Tob...read more about Toby
  Gus
Gus has found himself needing a new forever home for the new year.  Gus is in a home with other dogs but is having trouble getting along with a couple of them.  Put it down to a personality clash.  Gus is currently in his home due to our lack of foster homes.  If you are interested in Gus, please fill out an adoption application and we will put you in touch with the current family.  Gus is good with kids and most dogs but would probably  be best being an only dog.
