Squirt is a rust with black and white paws, chest and tail tip.  He has a tiny bit of white around his nose that give him an endearing "premature graying/old-man" look.  He is very playful and has a silly personality.  He is the toy lover of his litter.  Squirt's funny little faces and sideways head tilts win over all visitors.  Squirt and the rest of his litter are getting started on their "puppy" vaccinations and will be microchipped prior to adoption.  If you have a soft lap and plenty of toys, Squirt is your guy.

 

"Lucy", a Beagle/Basset Mix was found wandering the streets very pregnant. Good samaritans attempted to take her a local animal shelter but were diverted to Golden Empire Basset Rescue when confronted with the shelter's 7day stay then destroy policy for ALL intakes. On Lucy's 7th day in her foster home she delivered 8 healthy puppies.(3Female/5Male). As a tribute to Lucy's Mickey Mouse shaped spot her Litter's theme name is " Finding Nemo".
